According to the director, they couldn't get permission to use any of her songs because her management didn't want her connected to the film because it had a gay character. The directors words, not mine. They used the background music to Talk To Me because it wasn't written by Stevie. But, they did use a scene from the Stand Back video (the treadmill).
Apparently the director is a big Stevie fan; he came out with a movie a few years back called Edge of Seventeen.
