The inspiration from Jive Talkin' is at the beginning of that song when you hear the guitar.... it's kind of chick-chicka-chick (on the Bee Gees song) that he liked the texture of that and then the more traditional strumming sound layers in.
He mentions it in the video about the making of Rumours.... that part of Jive Talking at the very beginning inspired the guitar at the very beginning of Second Hand News.
