no aol videos on disc 2...
There are no videos for Peacekeeper or Say You Will on disc 2 - only sound. The only extras on the disc are the 4 tracks and the video clips we all saw on FleetwoodMac.com. Bummer....
|
Do you have the two disc set? If so, please let us know how Not Make Believe and Love Minus Zero are!!!!! I'm dying to hear a review of those suckers! :)
|
Are "Not Make Believe" and
"Love Minus Zero" the 2 additional tracks? If so, how are they? Thanks! |
BTW...
Is anyone surprised that the Limited Edition CD (that still does not exist) arrived before the CD that Mick's site sold fans and and charged to their credit cards months ago? |
i have a concert mp3 of 'love minus zero/no limit'. for those who don't know, it's a bob dylan song. at the beginning of my mp3, lindsey dedicates it to george (harrison). i'm not sure why he picked that song, perhaps because harrison and dylan were in a band together in the 80s (traveling wilburys). and i don't know if my mp3 is the same one that'll appear as a bonus track. i like it tho. haven't listened to it in awhile, but i think there's some nice acoustic guitar work on it.

I'm not familiar at all with this song Love Minus Zero/No Limit, and actually I'm a little consfused. Why the slashed name? Is it two songs, is it a medely, or does it just have two names?

Oh, and it sucks there isn't more to the "Limited Edition" than a few bonus songs, but I guess it's better than nothing. I guess there won't be any videos made for this album - what a disappointment. |
No one fret: the first disc in the limited edition set is the one with the video files! They sent out an email telling people about it. :)
Love Minus Zero is an awesome Dylan song; I hope it's a full studio version with Stevie in it! |
bob dylan said love minus zero/no limit is "a fraction," hence it's said "love minus zero over no limit". i still don't know what he meant by that, but i don't get a lot of what dylan said. it's a good song though. if anyone wants, i can email an mp3 of the original dylan tune to compare with the mac's.

wow..
Love Minus Zero/No Limit is amazing. I can't believe this track was left off the 'Say You Will' album. It's much better, imho, than either 'Red Rover' or "Say Goodbye.'
Stevie's 'Not Make Believe' is alright, but I can see why this one was not included. It's a little dull but might get better after repeated listens. BUT, Love Minus Zero/No Limit is wonderful!! I have to say this twice!! :-) Besides the music, the best thing about the limited edition is the beautiful pull out color photo of the band recording. Very nice! I also bought the DVD Audio - which I'm getting ready to listen to.. I hope it is just as good as the Rumours DVD-audio is. It's going to be a Nag Champa morning.. HAPPY FLEETWOOD MAC DAY!!! |
Has anyone been able to make the bonus footage work? I just get this stupid screen that pops up and I can click on reprise, fm.com, or a link to Fleetwood Mac extras. But when I click on this link it says file not found. Is there supposed to be video footage on the disc though?
Anyway, what Keith said about the songs pretty much sums it up. The Lindsey song is great. Not Make Believe hasn't changed much at all from the demo. It sounds to me like it's not finished - like it was a work in progress. Kind of like a typical b-side. |
I agree - "Not make believe" is kinda "ehh" - it does grow on you... - but Lindsey's added a very cool "Ricky" type of production to it. The live versions sound great... but yes.. the bonus footage on disc one still doesn't work. With a day or two it'll probably be up.

"Love Minus Zero" is a nice pop tune the way Lindsey produced it. It's reminiscent of the Cradle sound. It's perfect as a bonus track, though it could have easily fit into the flow of Say You Will.
The live tracks are OK. Lindsey's voice sounds a little strained on Peacekeeper, a little like the way he sings Tusk on The Dance. Not Make Believe is all right -- again too much of an 80s sound for my taste. I'm not sure why they insist on giving some tracks -- Running Through the Garden, Silver Girl -- an 80s sheen, but whaddyagonna do? The bonus disc is stingy. Four tracks and some lame video clips. Eh. A lot of bands have done bonus discs with a lot more content and for a lot less money. This baby is going for 19.99 at Best Buy. On the bright side, the single disc is on sale now for 9.99. |
