Stevie is such a sweetheart!!
 

I just saw this over at the nicksfix.

The April 7th issue of People magazine has the following Stevie mention:

"David Spade and his girlfriend, Ed's Julie Bowen, work 3,000 miles apart (Ed shoots in New Jersey, while Just Shoot Me is done in L.A.), but they still have a special relationship. How special? Well, Bowen's favorite song is Stevie Nicks's Fleetwood Mac tune "Landslide," which these days is a hit for the Dixie Chicks. So for Bowen's 34th birthday March 3, Spade called Nicks, whom he's gotten to know from hanging out at her concerts, and asked her if she wouldn't mind calling Bowen to sing the tune to her. Nicks happily obliged and left an a capella version of the 1975 song, which, not so coincidentally, is about getting older, on her cell phone voice mail."

Isn't that the sweetest thing?!! I can't imagine my reaction if that were to happen to me:D

I would be like "oh god-don't let me accidentally erase this" and then have to figure out how to get a good sound burned on about a million CDs to send to everyone person I had ever met in my life.
I was thinking when I read that on Nicksfix: that chic had better frickin' appreciate that!!! Cause every member (almost) on the Ledge would happily give a limb for that message to be on their voicemail!!!

That is way cool Stevie did that for her! WAY cool! And how cool of the boyfriend to ask Stevie too.

I have a CD of Stevie saying "the person you called isnt home right now but you can 'talk to me' when your down now..." And she goes into "Talk to me". When I do get a cell phone, Im going to have that as my recording! :)

I have one too! Only mine is barely audible, it was recorded from what was probably a 20th generation cassette tape. And it's a little different - she says "Hi, this is Stevie Nicks, and the person you are calling isn't home right now. But if you leave a message at the sound of the tone, you can talk to me." I tried to get it on my cell phone-have to hold the phone up to the stereo speaker and the frequency from the phone was causing the stereo to buzz and it wouldn't work. I've had it on my answering machine many times....Hmmm, think I'll do it again, I liked having that on there!

Oh that would be lovely. I only have 1/2 of it recored. My answer machine say "the person you are calling isn't home right now. But if you leave a message at the sound of the tone, you can talk to me." I owuld love to have all of it. But people know it's stevie when they call the house!!
