SMILE AT YOU on AOL

For those who havent heard it yet...it sounds AWESOME IMO...very different than the demos but intense....keyword : first listen on AOL....its great

Yeah, it does sound really different. I'm surprised what Lindsey did to the demo, which was my favorite demo ever. There is a lot that is recognizable--the general melody and most of the lyrics, but now there is some sort of chorus where Lindsey is prominent, mumbling something I can't make out. I tried to listen to it a second time but I keep getting an error message that the link I requested is invalid.

I hope the link works for other people who are sharper than I am and can hear the chorus and provide better information! At any rate, what is most important is that Stevie sounds strong, energetic, and intense-- in other words, FABULOUS. I need to hear it again and again! I'm so interested to hear what others think of it...

a beautiful final version of a great demo...it is for me definetely "one of those answers in waiting", you know how Stevie loves that...:wavey:

I think the chorus is "I should've turned away and ran . . . just as fast as I can" (courtsey of Johnny Stew). The thread over on the Rumours board has a discussion of this. It is hard to distinguish it with all the "AAAAHHHHHH"s from Stevie!

I just listened & I LOVE IT!~~~Stevie sounds incredible! Kinda reminds me of her "younger voice."

As someone mentioned on the Rumors board, if Goodbye Baby is The Tower demo and she uses this "new" voice in Smile at You, I will keel over and die with delight!!!!!:laugh:

So far I have listened to it 3 times.. and I still really can't figure out what the heck is being said in the chorus.. oh well.. it doesn't matter to me right now. It is a great song and I really like what Lindsey did with it. Stevie's voice sounds amazing! Although I have to say that I really love the angry version demo too!
