VBOFM jumps up 37 spots!!!!

Wow...I just looked over at Billboard.com, and the VBOFM jumped from #94 to #57!!! AWESOME!!

Also...it reentered the internet album charts at #24!

WOW! That is terrific. I guess The Mac fans or their family/friends are buying it up for Christmas. :D

That's a pretty big jump-I wonder what's up? Are they advertising more or what?

christmas shopping

I'd guess Christmas shopping...it sold over 40,362 copies this week!

Hehe, so was I Adam. I got really disappointed seeing it at #94 after only 7 or 8 weeks. I guess it truly was meant for Christmas presents. I'm interested to see where it lands next week.

Re: VBOFM jumps up 37 spots!!!!

That IS awesome! Great news!

I was walking around HMV yesterday and I saw quite a few people buying copies of the VBOFM album in a space of about 5 minutes....hopefully it will continue to do well in the days leading up to Christmas.:)

Advertising

There was a large "pagebuster" size ad (about 2/3 page) in a recent issue of People Magazine - right hand page and everything! And the TV spots are continuing to run, though I don't see them as often.

Best of the Mac

I know at the Best Buy I work at, since it's release, we've sold over 200 copies. And that's just one store. It has been doing well. Plus I ripped open a copy and have been playing it every other day, twice a day, to sink it into the customers heads'.

Oh yeah...and I'M BACK BABY!!! I've been away from the forums for months but here is my triumphant (and unoticed no doubt) return!

Re: Best of the Mac

lol! Haha....not unnoticed! Welcome back! Long time no "see"!

And btw.....I STILL haven't figured out that part from Chain'82.....lmao!!!! (Although I did get myself a neat little guitar called a Model One while you were away!)

:wavey: :wavey: :wavey:

It also climbed in the UK and in Australia

Shame its fell a few places in the US this week :(

Not surprised at all....it's been selling like crazy, and also there are more TV ads for now than there were when it came out!

I just bought it last night! WOW! I haven't had a chance to listen to it at home, but in my car it sounds fabulous! You guys were right, it was definitely worth getting.
