Save Me A Place cover

Tracy G has a link from her site to an article mentioning that a band called The Velvet Crush is releasing a new album with a cover of Save Me A Place.

Looks like Matthew Sweet was involved with this project and I wouldn't be shocked to hear that he may have had a hand in LB's tune turning up on the album. I haven't been able to find a sound clip of it yet, but for what it's worth, the review does say Save Me A Place is the highlight.

Save Me a Place cover? I'll come running...!

Good on them for digging up such a left-field song from a left-field album. They obviously saw through the petulant vocals and systaltic guitar strumming of the opening and the raw beauty of that song has spoken to them. I would love to hear what its done with it.

I hope they've done a good job of it...Save Me A Place is my favourite song off Tusk.
