Unusual FM cover songs..

Cyndi Lauper doing You Make Loving Fun & Ryan Adams doing Dreams...hmm..the things you find on Kazaa,lol...

I love Cyndi Lauper, but unfortunately her cover of "You Make Loving Fun" was rather antiseptic. The arrangement is watered-down disco, and is rather underwhelming.
But then, Cyndi can't be faulted for that... she recorded the song pre-fame, as a one-off gig for some record company that wanted to cash-in on the success of Fleetwood Mac's original.

I'd love to see her cover a Mac tune now... arranged the way *she* wants.

Ryan Adams covered "Dreams"? No way! Where was it originally released???

It was when Ryan Adams was still in his now defunct band "Whiskeytown". On their album "Old '97s" (which apparently is now out of print)

And, in searching I found that Jennifer Condos (Stevie's bass player on her "Rock A Little" tour) was in one of the final incarnations of "Whiskeytown". Small world.
