well here I can redeem myself cause I am sure everyone thinks I hate stevie's songs. The song isn't about gin. It's about the beauty of the gem sapphires from India. So yeah you're a dumbass. (j/k) :D :wavey:

I didn't know it was a Gin either, until someone told me, then we went out and bought some...went to my place...and listened to the song while making Bombay Sapphire gin and tonics....I did take a shot of it by itself before a gig once...it tasted like rubbing alcohol...or how I imagine it would taste....BUT it makes one heck of a gin and tonic...or if you like sweeter...mix it with some sprite or something...it's good...

again. The song is Bombay Sapphires. The GIN is called Bombay Sapphire. :wavey: The song isn't about the gin, ladies.

Bombay Sapphires

WWW says "It's about the beauty of the gem sapphires from India."

Actually, Stevie is using the metaphor of Bombay Sapphires (the gems and their beauty and color) to describe the splendor and her long standing love of the ocean...

When she says "I can see past you, to the white sand"

"past you" is referring to a troubled relationship, or situation, "to the white sand".... is looking at the beautiful ocean and its healing, calming effect, Like what could be more astounding and dramatic compared to this.

Stevie has referred to the Ocean as her Prozac.

I never asked if the song was about gin. I pointed out that a brand of gin is called Bombay Sapphire. So, please get off your high horse, kiddo.

Yeah...I don't think I once said anything about the song being about Gin...BUT I do think it's cool as hell that Stevie has a song...and that the Gin has an incredibly similar name..and a cool bottle...and I like it...so yeah...there's nothing wrong with enjoying the Gin AND the song...I'm fully aware that it is not about the alcohol...
