Stevie with short hair?
 

ok I was watching this history of rosk and roll documentary it was probably a pbs video and their was one vid in the series on the 70's and they were talking about GYOW and they showed a clip from the rumors tour the so called "GYOW video I think it was a sound check or somethig. and later lindey was talking about the song and they showed a clip of it being preformed and their was lindsey with the tweed vest thing and the little hat that he used to wear and then it flashed to stevie and she had short hair at leadt thats how it looked, it was really really blond like almost white, she looked kinda pale, and a liitle chunky she was also wearing a half moon necklace, I was wondering what tour this was from cause ive never seen any pics of her with short hair, I was thinking mirage but on the wild heart she had long hair so when the hell was this?

That footage is from the Mirage Tour concert video. Stevie has her hair in a ponytail at one point during the show.

Because it was cut in layers, when pulled back it gave the illusion of her hair being short... but trust me, it was all there.

There's only one thing that confuses me here. On Go Your Own Way on the Mirage concert, she has all her hair (almost) pulled up into her top hat. The place where it looks like she has short hair is on The Chain. So if she WASN'T wearing a top hat and the song was definitely Go Your Own Way, then it's highly confusing.

Apparently the concert video is edited from two shows, because Stevie's hair keeps switching between two hairdos - one's softer than the other. It's kind of funny. :-)

Also, Stevie was ANYTHING but chunky during the Mirage era.

The paleness, yes, she was corpse-like pale, but she was very, very, thin. Too thin.

The chunkiness must have been a photographic angle, or something.

Yes, like Nancy says, the video switches from soft-slightly-curled haired Stevie to fried-perm-oh-my-God-I-don't-have-time-to-curl-my-hair-before-this-concert Stevie.

And of course along side her we have Lindsey, who switches all through the tape from underwear line dude to wangle-dangle man.

i love it during the middle part of 'sisters of the moon' when stevie is playing the trap and cowbell and her hair is pretty fluffy and punked out (sort of like rock a little era) and then when she comes to the mic ('...so we make our choices...') it's flat and combed forward! bad editing definately.

You know, I knew there was always something wrong between those two shots, but I could never tell what. All I could tell was that the editing isn't good because it kind of skips while going into "So we make our choices..." but I could never tell what else was wrong. It was like on Red Rocks when Stevie's hair would be up in a ball on Outside the Rain, then during "Love is a word..." it's down like usual.
