Apparently we’re finally getting a GD reissue after all these years.

Better late than never, but they still should have done this in 1998 and extended The Dance tour without Christine.

I’ve said for years that 1998 was the optimal time to release it and they were absolutely foolish for not figuring that out at the time. But this group of people have never been too great at not stepping on their own tails

Love how the album title has his name first, but the Billboard has her name first. If you don't think managers and lawyers spend time fighting for things like that, I have a bridge to sell you.....:lol:

I think these days sh&t like that matters more to her than him, but who knows. They're both narcissists.

I would totally love to know what the process of putting this all together was like, because it would for sure have been a lot more tense than the SYW album and that got really f***ed up by the end.... Like, were they ever in the studio working with whomever to remix it, or did they each come and go separately and put a producer in the middle?? What were the fights, because we know there were some... Who gets what cut? Do we really think they are splitting the royalties 50-50??

I am betting that her vocals are even further upfront in the mixes

Will there be a booklet? Will there be bunches of new photos from the era? Are there ones we haven't already seen? What additional studio-recorded songs or demos will be on there? Will there be any live BN tracks??

Questions questions questions. Guess we'll all find out on Sept 19. Her tour breaks (as of now) 7 Sept until 1 October this year, so that leaves about a two week window for BN promotion.......

I mean, the label on the actual album said Nicks & Buckingham.

This is a well planned, coordinated, and invested roll out.

Stevie's tour is planned and routed months in advance. It has open days September 8 through September 30. Those 23 consecutive off days are not by coincidence. Plenty of time for an all platform media campaign blitz.

Two weeks ago came the subtle mutual following of both principles' social media accounts.

Last week the Mick with Fleetwood Mac social media jams to, praises and hints about Frozen Love.

Stevie and Lindsey with the coordinated social media of the Frozen Love lyrics in their individual penmanship.

This week the billboard on Sunset.

This is not going to be a simple drop of the remastered tracks to digital streaming services. They intend to feed then monster and fuel the big machine.

You are right. I still want to know why Mick was involved. Why did he roll it out? I do not believe he was just helping two friends promote an album. They are doing something that he will participate in. That is where my money is.

I’m torn.

I’ll buy it but I’m not at all thrilled to see the two of them coordinating on social media. Stevie treated Lindsey abominably in 2018 and since. If he crawls back to her, then it’ll be sad sad sad….

He's already done a lot of crawling. He has made it abundantly clear he wants to do something with her. Yes, the groveling has been painful. He shouldn't even be talking to Mick, let alone her.

However, I will buy the reissue and whatever else they are planning to sell, including concert tickets. I am weak that way.

If this goes beyond just the album being rereleased, it also says a lot about Stevie. How could anyone take her seriously after all the things she's said about Lindsey?

So the day we thought was never coming is coming? When the 50th anniversary came about would have been ideal. I suppose 52 has a nice ring to it ;)

Well, it's Fleetwood Mac people. I know it's not the same but I didn't think Lindsey would return to the band until the Twisted song. Same with Christine until 2013. But I think (and want) this is all just about the BN release. I don't see a tour. Maybe there will be a small performance in The Tonight Show or similar, where I would love to see them ask her Hey, didn't you say you would never share the stage with Lindsey again?

.

Although it's not a solo album, it's a good strategy to boost her tour sales. I think it's a good idea for marketing purposes. I wonder how Lindsey will take advantage of this moment.

No idea if Mick will do something to benefit himself. Another Mac album release would be nothing new. Or maybe his post was just to send a Hurrah to his friends.

If they had rereleased it in 1998, it would have been the album's 25th anniversary. Plus, Stevie and Lindsey would've been on a far better footing with each other at the time. Would've been a perfect time. But no, that would've made too much sense.

Exactly. What about the Mirage concert that was just released a few years ago. The Dance was a #1 live album. Imagine releasing Mirage live right after the Dance. The Dance spiked all Mac album sales including the vintage ones. Yet they sat on this incredible live show forever. The Mirage concert is probably one of my favorite albums of all time. The live Gypsy, Love In Store, Landslide, Hold Me, Eyes of the World and Sara are impeccable. Its the last up-tempo Landslide by the band before it became a slower sing along spectacle.

I sure hope it’s worth the wait. Most of us I’m sure has a decent cd and vinyl of Buckingham Nicks (I do) I’m not sure with Lindsey and Stevie still owning the rights may have the control of what will be included in the release. Several songs from this era were released on Stevie’s 24 Karat Gold release. It would be great to have some of these songs released with a early 1970’s vocal.
