As Long as You Follow was released on December 3rd, 1988. I remember seeing this live back in…oh, wait, that was a dream I had.
Great song.

I love ALAYF. BTM has some nice songs, but As Long As You Follow is the most great and beautiful song of that lineup.

Always a good song. Should have been added to the 2017 Mac album to give us a chance to hear it properly.

What a great notion!

Video always reminds me of Christmas time. It was released in December and all the snow in the video.

I love ALAYF. It gave me hope for the new MAC lineup. As I have stated before in other posts, I love all their albums and they all have some great tunes. BTM to me was a great MAC album with many great songs. For me nothing is better than a Buckingham produced album.

This song and No Questions Asked would have improved BTM greatly. Sadly the disrespect this gem got was a canary in the coal mine for their upcoming album 1.5 years later

I got it in The Very Best of Fleetwood Mac 2002 CD. It sounded very good. Did you mean another format?

I think he means the one recorded and released in 2017

Yes. My concern was What difference would there be on the 2002 CD compared to one from 2017? Unless this last was a DVD Audio format or something like that. Maybe remastered, but the edition included in The Very Best sounded enough properly (I've never heard the GH green CD version).

Your post got me thinking… I wonder if the fact that ALAYF just missed the top 40 impacted which songs they ended up putting on BTM? There are three really good songs in particular, Game of Love, Desiree, and Intuition, which were left off the album and they used Stand on the Rock, The Second Time, and Hard Feelings instead. But once ALAYF peaked at #43, it seemed like maybe they may have changed direction a little for BTM.

2017 album was Lindsey Buckingham Christine McVie.

Oh, sorry for the confusion. I had in mind 50 Years – Don't Stop. Now I realize that compilation was released in 2018.

The great news is that Chris managed her finances quite shrewdly, so in the end she never needed to resort to any begging, stealing, or borrowing.
