American Anthem soundtrack

I think we all know that "Battle of the Dragon" was included on this soundtrack, but does anyone have this? Is it good overall?

1 John Parr - Two Hearts
2 Mr. Mister - Run to Her
3 INXS - Same Direction
4 Stevie Nicks - Battle of the Dragon
5 Graham Nash - Wings to Fly
6 Andy Taylor - Take It Easy
7 Andy Taylor - Wings of Love
8 Chris Thompson - Love and Loneliness
9 Andy Taylor - Angel Eyes
10 Alan Silvestri - Arthur's Theme
11 Alan Silvestri - Julie's Theme

Any who has actually seen the movie? Is "Battle of the Dragon" used effectively?

Yes, I have the CD. I think I bought the soundtrack from the cut-out bin ages ago. To be honest, I haven't listened to it years. I think that I saw the movie too, but it been a very long time. I always love the song, so it might be a good time to pull the soundtrack out again and listen to it again. I recently have gone back and watched some old 80s movies like Flashdance and Footloose, so it would be fun to hunt down the movie again. Some of those movies are corny, like Footloose, but they incorporated modern music into them very well.

The movie is pretty awful. I know it bombed financially and with the critics, but it did get a bit of a second life on cable TV. Mitch Gaylord did not go on to become a name actor. Looking at your list, I do remember there were two singles/hits from the movie- Take It Easy by Andy Taylor and Two Hearts by John Parr. Battle of the Dragon was played very briefly during the movie, but it’s been probably 35 years since I’ve seen it so I don’t remember in what context. It wasn’t played during an especially climactic scene or anything like that.

It's funny that there's a GIGANTIC pink elephant in the next room, and you're pretending it doesn't exist. :woohoo:
