Richard Dashut

Does anyone here know whether Richard Dashut is still living, and if so, how a writer might go about contacting him to ask for an interview? I know he was in poor health as a few years ago, when he was blogging, but I haven’t heard what’s happened to him since.

I think he's fine. He's a very sensitive guy, and I think social media was a bit much for him, and he stepped away from it.

Edit-judging from his girlfriend's fb(he hasn't posted in quite a while) I think everything is fine.

Yes, Richard Dashut is fortunately still alive and will be 72 on September 19, God willing.

Not sure how you can contact him though. Have you tried his social media site connections?

Good luck! It would be nice to see and hear an interview with him if he feels well enough, that is.

Thank you both. I’m judging the worth of pitching a book to a publisher on one of the Mac albums that doesn’t have a book devoted to it.

He had some amazing photo postings at one time. I loved his website.

How exciting! I've often dreamed of doing the same myself!! I would LOVE to learn more about the recording of Mirage, based on the tidbits we've been given over the years. It sounds like the ultimate (albeit brief) Mac drama- set in France, dealing with Stevie's new solo stardom, the supposedly dismal living situation at the chateau.. if walls could talk:laugh:..

I know it is not enough to write a book about it, but I would like to know more about the Live album. Mick mentions just few words in his book. He told he was the only one who wanted to do it. It was not a popular decision. Both John McVie and Lindsey Buckingham thought it was a negative move.

But I'd like to know how they chose the songs for the album (or was it just Mick?), or details about the private sessions that became in Fireflies, One More Night and Farmer's Daughter.

I remember seeing a picture of Richard backstage with Christine in 2017 when Christine and Lindsey were touring for their album. It must have been in Las Vegas because I remember Richard was living in Las Vegas. Richard was also on the Christine McVie documentary on BBC a few years ago.

I remember that photo. I also went to the LV - BuckVie show.
