Olivia de Havilland, Golden Age of Hollywood star, dies at 104. "Last night, the world lost an international treasure, and I lost a dear friend and beloved client," her former lawyer Suzelle M. Smith said in an email to NBC News. "She died peacefully in Paris."

I literally never thought she would die.
She was a tough, righteous, classy woman. I wish the Supreme Court had accepted her most recent case she wanted to bring to them ... and that she had won!! (She won her first case.) Other than GWTW, I suppose my fav performance by her is in THE HEIRESS — an excellent adaptation and intelligent (if not inspired) interpretation of Henry James’ WASHINGTON SQUARE. |
Oh, The Heiress has my favorite moment when she finally turns on her father and tells him off. Then, of course, the pounding on the door she never answers at the end is delicious.

With Olivia's death old Hollywood is gone with the wind.There is no from that time even remotely like her around now.
