Tusk reissue in 5.1 Surround Mix

So I finally got my updated Surround sound Reviever and listening to Tusk. This is so amazing that it's going to be hard not to listen to this any other way. Every single song is amazing. I wish the Fleetwood Mac album was released in this forum. I love Rumours and Say You Will and can't wait for Mirage and I'm sure Tango is just around the corner.

I converted the 5.1 mix to stereo, and WOW! Everything is so clear! From the very clear keyboard I could barely hear before in "Over And Over" all the way through to the very distinct background vocals on "Never Forget". My problem with the album has always been that it sounds muffled to me, as if there were heavy blankets over the mics when it was recorded. Now, for example, I can hear every guitar in "Not That Funny".

Every song also seems to have something different about it also. I hear vocal lines at the end of "Storms" that I had previously only heard on outtakes before, I hear a keyboard on "You'll Never Make Me Cry", there's a guitar part on "Beautiful Child" that I had only heard on the outtakes before, and much, much more. Even "Tusk" seems more "dense"somehow.

I really don't know if I would ever listen to the album mix ever again.

One could use Rip It and Handbrake to create digital files of the 5.1 mixes for he phone.

I used DVD Audio Extractor on my laptop. (I originally found this when Live In Boston came out and the CD only had 10 songs and I wanted the whole show!)

I created 5.1 stereo versions and 5.1 versions via Handbrake and added them to my iTunes library. They play through my Apple TV into the surround system. "Sara" (stereo 5.1) is one of my most played tracks since I got the deluxe set.

I wanted to do this but my DVD/CD player in my iMac is broken. I wish these mixes were available as an mp3 download. :(
