She has made a nice chunk of change from that song. Everything is coming up Stevie nowadays. She has stood the test of time.

Macfanforever 12-14-2015 10:04 AM

Thats great.Maybe Stevie could pop up on the show.

After watching that I can tell that Gwen has borrowed
more from Stevie's repertoire than her songs.

Am I the only one that think Gwen doesn't have the right voice to cover this song?

That was crap. And I like Gwen. But that was crap.

MikeInNV 12-15-2015 10:30 PM

I didn't like it either.

Agreed. The guy wasn't bad but Gwen didn't seem connected to the song enough to cover it.:distress:

Also, was I the only one a little miffed when Gwen said something to the effect of, "You guys are great songwriters, Don Henley and Stevie Nicks"? Like, isn't it common knowledge that Stevie wrote this song, first of all? And just to say that so casually as though it's a surprise to find this (famous song), as if these people aren't legends. But maybe that's just me.

I think her voice is OK, but those stupid "affectations" she put down destroyed it.

I didn't mean it that way, actually I think her voice has managed to remain relatively consistent throughout her career (fact that is uncommon) but she uses all those "affectations" as you call them that may work well with her Rocky Pop kind of music but can't deliver well such a delicate country allad.

Macfanforever 12-16-2015 09:55 AM

I thought they were fine.I did not look at the technical part of it seeing if if it was a carbon copy of Stevie and Don's version.

Jeffrey Austin's vocal sounds a lot like Bobby Martin's on the Rock A Little tour:

That said, I didn't care for Gwen's vocal all that much.

I like Gwen, but not for this song. The guys voice was much better suited for this song.
