Bond, Fleetwood Bond

I just saw the new James Bond Film, Spectre today. I've got to say I was slightly disappointed after reading so many glowing reviews. I wont spoil it for anyone that's planning on going to see it but for me it's probably Daniel Craig's third best Bond film.

Anyway, I was thinking it would be so great if Fleetwood Mac did a Bond theme tune. Looking back through their catalogue I dont think there's a huge number of Bond-esque songs but one that stands out for me is I'm So Afraid. Even the backing images in the live tour are reminiscient of the opening credits for a Bond film. Out of the three writers I'd say Lindsey would be the most likely to pen a Bond theme, followed by Stevie and then Christine. With his history of writing music for films, I think it would be so great if he could come up with something like I'm So Afraid for a James Bond film.

Are there any other candidates for a theme tune to a James Bond film?

I'm So Afraid would be so good as a Bond theme!

Maybe Straight Back would work?

Haven't seen the latest Bond films .Mick could play a awesome character in a Bond film.

Sisters Of The Moon would be an awesome theme for a bond girl...
I could picture well also Brown Eyes or Smile At You. Maybe also Tango In The Night.

Mick would make a great Bond villain. Unfortunately his acting is awful. Mind you, Batista the wrestler is a villain in the new film. He doesnt speak- maybe theats the answer for Mick- just look mean and do the drumming face!

Anyway, was thinking maybe Behind the Mask would make a good song (especially if the film was called 'Behind the Mask')

Eh, as a massive 007 aficionado, I don't think the two would've paired very well together given Bond theme songs are supposed to be "sexy" and well, the Mac music catalog is a lot of things but sexy isn't one of them.

In the Mac's prime, the trend for the Bond themes was sexy ballads (Nobody Does It Better, For Your Eyes Only, ect) so I think the Mac would've been severely out of place.

Well, thats not to say they can't make that sort of music. Christine in my eyes is the least likely candidate for a Bond song writer and yet she'd be capable of writing a big production power ballad (and Christine McVie music is often 'sexy'). I'm thinking of now- in my eyes something along the lines of I'm So Afraid would be more along the lines of the Chris Cornell song from Casino Royale.

I love the 007 series and love to hear some mac tunes in it.

Yes I agree.I can see him climbing out of one of those small sports cars.
Also he'll be hard to kill off and come back to haunt Bond.Stevie could pop in and be one of the bond girls.LOL.
