Rare Songs Live
Thought I'd share this I stumbled upon. Live performance of Bombay Sapphires. LOVE IT!
Had NO idea she sang this live!! |
Gosh that was recorded right before 9/11 and before the world changed forever.
Here is Blue Lamp. It sounds great live. It really has that East Street Band sound. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wGyqJ7W4-l8 |

I have some other rare one's on my computer, just ask if she did a song and I'll tell you if she did it or not. I might be able to dig the live song up too. |
Was there something rare about HAEWAFY in England in 1988? Wasn't that standard on the Tango tour?

Some others come to mind...
When the Sun Goes Down - great performance featuring Rick and Billy. What a shame it was inexplicably dropped early in the tour. Too Much is Not Enough - I'm not sure if Christine had a hand in writing it, but I believe this was an outtake from her self-titled album. It was performed at least one time on her solo tour. Miles Away - A rare glimpse of their Mystery to Me era with this Midnight Special TV performance. Get Like You Use to Be - Fantastic performance from her Chicken Shack days, performed early in the Buckingham Nicks era. Unlike some under-rehearsed songs like Straight Back, Stevie's solo song Ooh My Love sounds so fully fleshed out and stage ready. I just don't understand why she , or any artist, doesn't occasionally slip a few deep album tracks into shows, just to keep it fresh |

1. Stevie sang "Auld Lang Syne" solo at the Millenium shows in 2000. 2. "Save Me A Place" was also performed for pretty much the whole of the Tusk tour 3. Stevie only sang 2 lines of "Frozen Love" before declaring "That's all I remember", so it doesn't really count as a performance as such 4. "Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You?" and "Don't Let Me Down Again" were performanced for the whole of the Tango tour. If anything, "Sara" is the rarity from that tour as it was only performed at the Wembley shows. 5. "Farmers Daughter" was done every night of The Dance tour 6. "Long Way To Go" only had Sharon singing on it. "Freedom", "Doing The Best I Can" and "Ooh My Love" from the SA tour rehearsals all have Stevie singing on them and are well worth checking out. 7. "Doing The Best I Can" was from a UK TV special. Such a shame it never made it to the tour setlist as the piano solo version is quite stunning. 8. The 2004 leg of the SYW tour started out so well, with "Don't Let Me Down Again" and "I Know I'm Not Wrong" making their tour debuts (live debut in the case of IKINW) and "Destiny Rules" back in the set. Shame that none of them stuck around until the end of the tour. A few other rare performances: "Gypsy" accoustic from the 2000 AHI Benefit with Lindsey on guitar "Juliet" from the OSOTM tour. Dropped after the first few shows "Running Through The Garden", only performed on opening night of the SYW tour |

1. Auld Lang Syne was played only a few times during her career. 2. Save Me A Place is rare because it's the only FM tour it was sung on, and Chris played guitar on it 3. If you bothered to look at my blog, You'd see I wrote "Frozen Love Intro/Say Goodbye". I copied it wrong. 4. HAEWAFY is rare because it is the only Stevie solo song besides Stand Back played on a FM tour. Also, it was only played on one FM tour 5. Farmer's Daughter is rare for being a cover song, only played on one FM tour 6. I think Freedom and Ooh My Love are on there. Maybe not listed but in mediafire. Is sharon really only singing on it? 7. Doing the best I can is there. I like the piano version better then the album version. I agree it should have been played live. 8. I agree the SYW tour started well and the more they dropped songs, the more "Greatest Hits Live!" it felt. Here's your "notable" performences: |
OH...... MY....... I am in love again!! |
