I think this demo is one of Stevie's best vocals, you can hear the emotion in her voice - such a shame it was never on a Mac album.

It is one of my favouite too, but I remember Stevie an Lindsey say that they didn't like how it ended, it was too "open" so they didn't put it on the album.
I sincerely like it that way, slowly fading out.

I wished it was on Tusk.

I wish it was on Tango. It would have been a great moment for her at that time.

It may or may not be an unpopular opinion, but I love the way it ended up sounding for Shangri-La. The production is AMAZING (especially the extended), I wish she was making records that still sounded like THAT now. I think it's just a huge sounding, sweeping record (though I do enjoy the stripped back emotional version of the demo).

Though now I do have to wonder what a "Tango" version of this song would sound like comparatively. It's an interesting thought!

Lindsey said he could never get it right, so I guess that's why it was never on a Mac record. Unless, it's just SUCH a kiss-off to him he never really tried

It has a really weird drum rhythm on it. Kind of freeform, like some Miles Davis stuff from the '70s.
