The Afghan Whigs Covered Fleetwood Mac's 'Tusk' on 'Kimmel' Last Night
The Afghan Whigs Perform "I Am Fire" and "Tusk":
On last night's episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the Afghan Whigs dropped by for a set of blistering performances that included a cover of Fleetwood Mac's timeless barnstormer, "Tusk." Last year, the band released Do To the Beast, which featured "The Lottery" and "I Am Fire," both of which the Whigs played last night. Watch "The Lottery" above and the slow-burning "I Am Fire"/"Tusk" below. |
That was really an awesome performance. I'm intrigued. Thanks for posting this!

I like seeing newer artists finding creative ways of paying homage to artists that have been influential to them.
They didn't technically "cover/play" Tusk. They just referenced a small segment as a tag ending to their song. There is a distinct difference. It's more like a mini-mac mash up at best. Thanks for posting! |
This is interesting...
...but I'm itching for the brass to kick in and the song to take off properly. Immediately had to go and bring up 'The Dance' Tusk. |
I also found it disappointing when I listened to the song and Tusk wouldn't come along, but this was the name of the article and I couldn't change it.
I think that more than a mash up, this is a sampling of Tusk; I thought that the song was good anyway. |
So great.
Sort of gives those lyrics new weight. |
