Feather vs. Leather...
So, who else here does the double take in their mind when listening to "New Orleans"... and Stevie sings, "I want to wear feathers and lace..." does a double take and thinks "leather and lace".... LOL
I do - almost everytime I hear it. Which do you prefer? Leather and lace or Feathers and lace? For me, it depends. Being a gay man, I tend to lean towards leather.... unless I'm in a showtunes mood, then it's feathers... LOL Discuss! |
Well, I like leather and lace as symbols for the masculine and feminine and I loved the thought of exchanging them. Give to me your leather, take from me my lace. Feathers and lace is descriptive. Leather and lace is meaningful.

Absolutely "leathers and lace", it's ingrained in my head now.

LOL.I think "Feather and Lace"would be odd if Stevie recorded it.
Unless she plucked some feathers from the white winged dove from EO17. Weird Al could make a hit out of it.LOL.. I'll pick leather. |
