Providence-1/28

I got my VIP email so I would imagine everything is still on. Anyone else going to this show?

Macfanforever 01-25-2015 02:07 PM

For those that are going.Be careful on traveling to the show .It will be a mess after the storm or blizzard coming in the next couple of days.

I have a ticket for Providence, but with the weather forecast for a blizzard, I am getting kind of nervous.

I am also on the Cape and wanted to go to the Providence show, I do not have a ticket yet
I guess I'll just wait and see what the weather brings

Thank you for the link:

Due to the blizzard warning and state of emergency issued by Gov. Gina Raimondo, the Providence Journal is reporting that -- "Fleetwood Mac: Mick Fleetwood, Stevie Nicks and crew are scheduled to play at the Dunk on Wednesday night. Their stage crew traveled to Providence Monday and the performers are due to drive from New York City to Rhode Island Wednesday but if the state of emergency isn’t lifted by early Wednesday, the concert will be pushed to Thursday."

They're not going anywhere until the travel ban is lifted.

Maybe they'll get an exemption.

[If the show is canceled do they give you free donuts?]

Providence College Friars, January 26, 2015

The Dunkin' Donuts Center has a Fleetwood Mac concert scheduled for Wednesday, January 28. If the Fleetwood Mac concert is cancelled on Wednesday, that concert will then take place on Thursday, January 29 at the Dunkin' Donuts Center. In the event of the concert moving to Thursday, the Providence vs. DePaul game will then be played at Alumni Hall on the Providence College campus at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday on Fox Sports 1.

Sadly, even most of the Dunkin Donuts locations will be closed today. Not sure about tomorrow yet.

That is great news about possibly postponing the show til Thursday. Me, I'm stuck in Florida because my flight back to New England was cancelled yesterday. I am not complaining.

WelshWitchPMD 01-27-2015 11:50 AM

We are still under a travel ban. I'm sure it will be lifted by tomorrow. With that being said Rhode Islanders won't be able to dig out until late tonight and tomorrow. State might be closed tomorrow too. It's a wait and see type thing.
I know that it's doubtful I'll be able to dig out before 4:30pm tomorrow.

nicepace 01-27-2015 01:35 PM

I am hoping they postpone the show! I've had 20 inches of snow and it is still coming down steadily (here on the Cape) and the forecast is for it continuing into the night.

How are the band travelling from city to city? Tour bus, limos, private jet?

michelej1 01-27-2015 01:42 PM

Well, that one article said that it would be held Thursday night instead, if it's canceled. I hope that makes it easier for you to get there.
