Pittsburgh show

Anyone going to the Pittsburgh show? I am so excited. I hate to admit this but I sort of was boycotting the Mac without Christine. So this will be my first full Fleetwood Mac concert since the Dance. The Mac has played Pittsburgh so many times. Lindsey, Stevie, and Christine have all played Pittsburgh solo. My first Mac concert was 1987 without Lindsey. I saw them again in 1990 without Lindsey. I saw them in 1995 without Stevie, Lindsey, and Christine. I have seen Stevie solo countless times and even saw Christine solo in 1984. I am thrilled to see them in an arena. Nothing better than a rock concert in an arena. I saw the Dance at an outside setting.
Forgive my ramble but you can tell I am excited. This will be my first concert on the floor. I am center 30 rows back.
Will post a review when I get back.

I will be there--a four-hour trek from Rochester!

I saw them sans Christine in 2009 (or whatever year was the Unleashed tour) and thought the three men were solid. Lindsey, in particular, was quite strong. Stevie seemed exhausted at that time. She seems more buoyant these days.

I'll be there, coming in from Cleveland. I'll also be at the Columbus show on Sunday!

I'll be there. I live south of Pittsburgh. I've seen Stevie and the Mac many times in the area. Saw Stevie the first time at Civic Arena in 1983. I love Consol. It's a very nice venue.

I was at the 1983 show too. It was my first concert. I would love to share memories with you. Stevie was a bit dazed and commented that she felt a lot better on stage compared to how she was earlier. So people were confused was she physically sick or did she have a fight with someone. I remember some microphone problems and Stevie kept thinking she was not sounding good and going down and moving the monitors herself.

Booked into a Pittsburgh hotel the other night. The Mac is in town and the show is tomorrow night. I am so excited. My hotel room looks over the Consol Center so I can see the Mac arrive at the center tomorrow.
There was an Eric Church concert at the Consol Center the other night and my hotel was filled with fans. I am sorry to say I had to google Eric Church to know who he was (country singer). But he packed them in. The Mac fans will be here tonight. I will post a review of the show afterwards.
The weather is really nice tomorrow and a perfect day for Fleetwood Mac in the Steel City!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's right. Joe Walsh opened for her and was awesome. It was my first concert too. I was pretty far back and she looked so tiny on stage. She talked about not feeling well before the show. Something like that and kept fiddling with the monitors. It was a great show. I still remember her doing Gold Dust Woman, just like on the HBO special.

It is supposed to be around 80. I can't believe it. it's been kind cool lately. Rain later in the evening. I'm so excited to see the five again. :]

Everyone have a great time at the Pittsburgh show tonight!!!

kak125 10-14-2014 08:28 AM

ticketmaster was dropping 12th row seats yesterday so I would check all day and see if they put out something good. you need to leave the screen up and let it refresh on its own that way you can see the good tickets when they put them out there.
good luck I am sure you can find something!

Fleetwood Mac rocks Pittsburgh

WOW
I am still high from tonight's concert. What a treat it was. Over 2 1/2 hours of non-stop Mac hits over and over. Packed the house at the Consol Center tonight in Pittsburgh. The show started shortly after 8pm and did not finish until 10:45. The band is REALLY having fun. All smiles and really feeding off the audience. I was 30 rows back center from the stage and it was perfect. I would not change a thing.

The concert had several snafus that added to the evening. During Sisters of the Moon Stevie began to sing holding the microphone. She commented at the end "did you see the microphone problem? That is something I rarely do so it is something new" The microphone slipped out of the stand but she continued singing holding it in her hand. It was something to see!!!

There was another screw up during Say You Love Me. The same problem at Chicago where the beginning did not start properly. I thought they were going to stop the song and begin again like Chicago but the band played on like nothing happened. At the end Christine commented "sometimes this thing works and sometimes it doesn't." This new technology is ruining concerts IMHO.

But the biggest mistake of the night was ground breaking. Mick Fleetwood forgot to introduce John McVie during band intros. After introducing the members Mick started Dont Stop and Christine counted down....1, 2 , 3 until they stopped and realized Mick forgot John. Mick had a huge apology. He said he was firing himself from the band. Christine joked when it was time to start Dont Stop..."should we start now?"

I have not seen Stevie pour so much engery into Gold Dust Woman since the Wild Heart Tour. She was doing convulsions again on stage and vibrating and dancing all over the place!

What a set list! I would not change a thing! I oringially gave the set list a B+. But after the concert I would give it a A+. I Know I am not wrong was a highlight for me. So much energy!

Lindsey really stole the stage with guitar playing. He really soaked up the applause too especially after Big Love and I'm So Afraid.

Christine was amazing!!!! Her vocals sounded like it was the 1980's all over again. She finally did the "God Bless you Pittsburgh, good night" during Songbird.

The crowd was amazing and stood during most of the show. I was doing the same. My only complaint was the guy behind me screaming and spitting all over me when he screamed for Stevie.

Lindsey really is an amazing guitarist. But I think Seven Wonders and Little Lies sounded better with Billy Burnette and Rick vito in 1987. The intro to Little Lies in 1987 and 1990 was keyboard based like the album version. Lindsey created the guitar intro which sounds classic but I prefer the 80's version. I also think the Mac did Seven Wonders better in 1987. But I would not trade Lindsey for the world and the Mac is lost without him.

This band is really having fun. The concert was one of the best ever!!! Sold out and they had many seats almost in back of the stage on the far side. You guys are in for a real treat. Mick commented at the end that they are going on an endless world tour. With the success I saw tonight... no doubt. I am planning on seeing them again later this tour in Sunrise, Florida.

If you have tickets for this show. You are in for a Mac attack show full of non-stop hits!
