In Your Dreams: 8, and my winner.
24 Karat Gold: 6

well..

since I'm basking in the glow of this new music, my picks gear towards "24 Karat Gold", although "In Your Dreams" ranks below The Wild Heart, Trouble In Shangri-La, and Bella Donna..

Starshine
For What It's Worth
Mabel Normand
Blue Water
New Orleans
24 Karat Gold (almost a tie - love Moonlight)
Hard Advice
Lady
I Don't Care
All The Beautiful Worlds
Ghosts Are Gone
You May Be The One (almost a tie, but YMBTO is my favorite track from IYD)
Italian Summer
She Loves Him Still

I need some time for this. The idea of having to choose a favorite between Moonlight and the song 24KG makes my head and heart hurt.

I feel the same.

Although this is a great idea for a thread, I need more time for 24k to marinate. When I feel it is equally marinated as IYD is for me, then I can make fair comparisons.

Jamie

Same here. There are more songs that I really love on 24 Karat than In Your Dreams. It's hard to compare because many of us have grown up with the 24 Karat songs and know them so well.

I put 24 Karat Gold at a very strong #3 behind BD and TWH. Maybe without "Carousel," "Twisted," "If You Were My Love," and "Mabel Normand" (don't like any of these songs), it would have been higher on my list.

Mabel Normand
Blue Water
New Orleans
24 Karat Gold
Annabel Lee
Lady
I Don't Care
All The Beautiful Worlds
Belle Fleur
If You Were My Love
Carousel

24KG - 12/14
IYD - 2/14

I'm not a huge fan of IYD. It's a good, solid album but I prefer 24K much, much more.

Couldn't agree more. :)

^^This! I simply cannot choose one above another...so...

Solider's Angel

Belle Fleur
If You Were My Love
Italian Summer
She Loves Him Still

Sorry for having two choices to be tied...but I ADORE all four of those songs...and would be sitting here for days trying to choose between them.

So that's 9 for 24KG and 7 for IYD.

Interesting that 2 songs about the ocean were pitted against each other.
