BBC Radio 2 programme on Stevie October 5th

I only just found this out but for UK people, there is a whole programme dedicated to Stevie and Zoe Howe will be on the 'sounds of the 70's' show at 3pm discussing her biography of Stevie. I think there might be a pre recorded interview with Stevie as well but I don't know. This is the first I've heard of it but I thought I'd let you know anyway! ;)

Anyone in the world can listen to it for a week after it airs, either way. The BBC iPlayer is great like that for radio shows. Gives you plenty of opportunity to record the stream too which is nice. :)

But we can't use the BBC iPlayer.

Anyone can use it for radio programmes; it's only TV shows which are geoblocked. Certainly, I use both but I don't have to be sly and sneaky to use the radio. I listen to it all the time and have done for years. And I'm definitely not in the UK or Ireland...

I just listened to Zoe Howe being interviewed about her biography on Stevie and she put Stevie in a very good light and Stevie had no input with the book but she said that was expected. They also played Rhiannon and Dreams. HOWEVER. I find it weird that in a 15 minute segment dedicated to Stevie that they didn't even mention that she had an album out tomorrow. That is ridiculous. Johnnie Walker could've said something quickly like "By the way, Stevie has a new album out tomorrow entitled 24 Karat Gold, Songs from the Vault which is currently our album of the week". How bloody stupid. A great little bit of promotion that would've taken him all of 10 seconds to say. I really hope they promote the hell out of 24 Karat next week on Radio 2 because that was a perfect opportunity stupidly missed.
