Rank Top Stevie Solo Lead Singles/Tracks
These are my favorite lead singles or lead tracks from Stevie solo projects. What's yours?
1. Stand Back 2. Planets of the Universe/Everyday 3. Stop Dragging My Heart Around 4. Talk to Me 5. Reconsider Me 6. Maybe Love Will Change Your Mind 7. Secret Love 8. Rooms on Fire 9. The Dealer 10. Sometimes It's a Bitch |
I don't think Planets was a lead single, was it? Sensible though that choice may seem to us.
I'm inclined to include If You Ever Did Believe. It's lovely, and I think it counts at least as much as Reconsider Me or Sometimes It's a Bitch. It got a music video and everything! I'd go: 1. Stand Back 2. Rooms on Fire 3. If You Ever Did Believe 4. Secret Love 5. The Dealer 6. Stop Dragging My Heart Around 7. Every Day 8. Maybe Love Will Change Your Mind 9. Talk to Me 10. Sometimes It's a Bitch 11. Reconsider Me |

I love "If You Ever Did Believe" but it wasn't from a solo (wish it was) but a sound track. BUT it was a lead single so I guess it counts ( too good not to. Lol) |

Mostly I just wanted more songs on the list that I actually like. Everything on my list after "The Dealer" is entering serious "meh" territory, for me. It was getting a little depressing. If Planets does indeed count I'd put it straight at the tippity top of my list. Love that song. |

2. Secret Love ...and that's about it. I've never been a big fan of what Warner Brothers has chosen to release as her lead singles from past albums. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy songs like SDMHA and Stand Back, etc. but have never really been "blown away" by them. "Rooms On Fire" and "Secret Love" have been the only two exceptions for me. They both made me soooooo excited for their upcoming record releases, respectively. :D |
1. Stand Back - only because this is the most obvious hit
