I Can't Wait (Timespace Single)
 

According to Discogs.com, the 12" Single for the Timespace version of "I Can't Wait" contains a dub on the b-side with no listed run time, and the CD-single contains a version listed as 12" Version with a 4:58 run time. Are these 12" and dub versions of the Timespace version or just the Extended Rock Mix (with the wrong run time listed) and Rock Dub from the original 12"?

If these are different, does anyone have these? Would love to hear these.

the 4:58 run time is real, but it's just the extended rock mix edited down a bit. I think in the UK at the time CD singles could only run up to 22 minutes if it wasn't all remixes of a single track, so often edits were done on mixes.

same thing with the dub, just an old mix thrown onto CD.

I would love the 12 inch version of 'I can't wait'. I just found the 12 inch version of 'Whole Lotta Trouble' at my local record shop but unfortunately the poster that it came with was missing. Not surprising really, but it was only £3 and I think I got a bargain as I think it's quite rare now.....

Thank you for the info. I remember several singles having to be broken down to multiple parts due to the time constraints.
