WITHOUT TELLING the actual TIME SIGNATURE, can y'all list off some Fleetwood Mac songs that aren't common time? i think i've finally got a grip on this and want to test myself.

people have been trying to explain time signature to me for years, *sigh* i don't know why i just didn't look it up on the interwebs to begin with...

any incarnation of the band is fine... thanks!

You can compare the FM vs. the B/N versions of "Crystal". According to Keith Olsen's Q&A on this website, one version is in 6/8 and the other is in 4/4.

What? Neither of those songs are in 4/4. You could make the argument that one is in 3/4 depending on where you feel the beat... But I'm not hearing how either could be said to be in 4/4 unless the whole song is played with triplets throughout in which case you're basically in 6/8 and just making it complicated notation wise.

I guess you'll need to to take it up with Ken, then. I was only the messanger. I was only trying to help. When will I learn. You can read it directly from Ken here:

Sorry, my comments were directed toward you personally. Just at the information that you provided (which I know came from Keith).

I don't know, I (the rhythmless time newb) can hear 6/8 in it - am I wrong if I'm counting: I (..2 ..3) turned (..5 ..6) around (..2 ..3 ..4 ..5 ..6) --or something like that? AH TIME, WHY MUST YOU MOCK ME SO?!

That's Enough For Me.

No, what you're describing sounds right.
