well, famous people aren't always like their public persona when in private. and we don't know what the inside-showbiz view of her is/ was. I think maybe in her younger heyday when they got mega famous they all got a little full of themselves and also a little protective because everyone wanted a piece of them and so they had a lot of people around them as a buffer and sometimes those friends/employees can get twerpy and it reflects badly on the performer..

True. In interviews Stevie comes across warm to me and I usually hear nothing but good things about her. However, I am sure there is a different side. Just like there would be with anyone. There is a thread here about Nancy Sinatra claiming that Stevie wasn't very friendly to her.

Not that CAH is generally a great source, but I totally believe everything she says about Stevie's cliqueishness during the Rumours era. Always surrounded by her girls. There are a couple of demos where you hear how demanding she could be in the studio. Like when she threatens to not make soup for Shelley Yakus because he hates the song.

Stevie actually told Dave Letterman this on an interview she did and I think Bill Murray was on the show too. So I bet that is when she told him. I just can't remember what year it was. Maybe 1998?
