Well, here’s a thing.

Since Lilith Dorsey (of the excellent blog Voodoo Universe) and I had so much fun channelling Stevie Nicks last night during our live chat about the latest episode of AMERICAN HORROR STORY: COVEN, that we’re going to have a contest. Best “Stevie Selfie” wins a prize!!!

If you had not heard, Stevie Nicks will be making a special guest appearance on the show this season. Show co-creator Ryan Murphy was interviewed by Entertainment Weekly online about this exciting development.

So, in the spirit of excitement beyond excitement, we’re having this photo contest.

It’s easy: Take a photo of yourself dressed up as or channelling the Welsh Witch herself, and post it to your Twitter feed, or Tweet it to us using the hashtag #StevieSelfieAHScontest. My Twitter addy is @themediawitch, and Lilith is @LilithDorsey.

No need to dye your hair blonde or buy up every lacy shawl at the Goodwill..Stevie has lots of different looks and it’s possible to capture her essence using your own creative spirit.

Good luck! We’ll keep you all posted here and on Twitter; winners will be announced the week that Stevie first appears on the show.

What do you win?

Prestige.

Michele

[here's some news about the prizes]

Twitter#StevieSelfiesAHSContest or #StevieSelfies, or if you want you can post them on The Media Witch page on Facebook.

We will be featuring prizes from Raven Moon’s Oracle, the business of our lovely friend Jenn the Gypsy Witch. (Here is a recent interview with Jenn conducted by Lilith Dorsey of VooDoo Universe).

You could win a 3-card tarot reading, or a love spell charm necklace, or a jar of prosperity incense! So get those cameras or phones out, toss on a shawl and some boots and let’s see those photos!

Episode 10 is coming! The photo deadline will be before the episode featuring Stevie Nicks airs, and we’ll announce the Stevie Selfies contest winners around the same time.

There’s never been a better time to channel your inner Stevie, the white witch, the goddess of rock, the twirling gypsy witch of our dreams…

Someone call Jazzmen Flowers and get her back here.

To anyone that enters, I think you are going to have some tough competition

I guess I'm out because I dont do Facebook no more.To many viruses from it.

I had to look up the word Selfies on Wikipedia . My old brain is slow at times.

I do Selfies all the time like the last one in the IYD DVD thread and post you pix thread.

Time to have fun again.

Thanks for posting that info I was waiting to have my account here approved and activated! So yes we have a few witchy prizes on offer.

Also Lilith Dorsey will be donating something (she is the voodoo priestess and author who co-hosts our weekly video chats about the show; Here is the last one we did: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i9aAT8blx-g

The next one will be this Thursday. I post links to the chats on my Facebook page and the Patheos Blog The Witching Hour, linked above.

We'd love to have lots of selfies in honor of the great Stevie Nicks!! Thanks so much for sharing the news and feel free to share and get involved!!

May I ask; where the original link came from? I clicked on this and it took me tot he HuffPo site but there was nothing about the Stevie Selfies contest there...did the Patheos blog post make it onto HuffPo? Just curious...

No, it came from the Patheos blog. Wrong link. I'll correct it.

This should be interesting for sure

Where are the photos?

I can not seem to find a link that shows the photos so far for the contest. I am computer dumb but does anyone have a link that shows peoples photos that have been sent in so far?

So this "contest" is going on until January 8th?

Is that Stevie herself? Or someone who looks like her? It does not look like Stevie 100% so I was just curious?

That ones been floating around for quite a while now...
