Valerie June (free download at Amazon).

I was watching some of the iTunes Festival a couple of nights ago
and came across this artist Valerie June. She's completely new
to me. What a unique artist. Her voice is as true as Loretta Lynn,
Dolly Parton and Shelby Lynne.

I live in the Heart of Dixie and I'm use to the accent yall say we
have. But I don't believe I've ever heard a black woman with that
strong of a Southern accent. It's quite charming.

If she stays true to her "organic moonshine roots music" she'll do fine.
Check out the free mp3 download at Amazon. The song is titled
Workin' Woman Blues.

She's a very pleasant surprise.

I didn't mention that Valerie's concert from the iTunes Festival
is available to watch for free during the month of September.

I'm hoping some "nice" person will upload it to YouTube in HD.
It was a great performance.

thanks! she is great refreshing and honest! not someone trying to be a country singer .

I have passed the video and the link to everyone I know she needs to be heard

Glad you liked it. I was listening to her CD today.

If you receive any feedback on the video/link
