Round 1 Nominations: Time/The Dance
 

Here comes Poll #14 focusing on Christine's songs from Time along with "Temporary One" and "Coventry Carol".

Multiple choice - vote for Christine's best and definitive songs that also should continue and be represented on "Just Perfect: The Definitive Christine McVie Collection." :cool:

This era isn't one of my favorites for CM, but I voted Temporary One, Hollywood, and All Over Again.

These songs are solid, but generally don't offer anything we haven't seen from her in previous eras. It's hard to make a case for any of these being "definitive", and this collection might get rather repetitive by this point.

However, Temporary One is awesome and gets a vote from me.

I never liked Temporary One. Maybe it's the awkward title. This song does absolutely nothing for me.

Temporary One was certainly a disappointment. If it had been one song on an entire album, that would be fine. But when we only got one song from each songwriter after such a long absence, Temporary One was definitely a let down.

I have used the words at a funeral though. I found them very touching.

I was a new fan when I heard Temporary One. Still a fan of that song now.

IIRC, though, the other choice for the new Chris song for The Dance was Easy Come, Easy Go. Wonder how that sounded with the band.

Interesting as there wasn't as many votes on this poll. I myself forgot to vote, but the only song I would have voted for is Temporary One. Since it alone got over 50% it will move forward in the contest. :cool:
