yes, there was a thread about one of the shows where people were discussing how come Lindsey can hear Stevie when he's across the stage at his mic but not when he's right behind her during Landslide intro.
someone clarified that unlike Stevie, Lindsey doesn't use ear monitors, and he depends on his floor speakers that are right around his mic to hear back what's happening. Stevie's speaker-looking things on the stage are actually teleprompters with song lyrics and directing her what to do next, and she already has ear monitors for sound. that's i guess why you can sometimes (not at every show, but maybe when sound is not calibrated just right?) also hear Lindsey's vocals better than Stevie's when you are right at the stage, because they come back through his speakers.
so yeah, seems Lindsey wouldn't hear what Stevie is saying when he's standing right behind her during Landslide intro, and she may have to give him some signal when she's done... unlike with WY intro when he's standing at his mic and can hear what she says. |
