New 'Family Man' remix

Slap bang in between their singles 'Seven Wonders', 'Little Lies' and 'Everywhere', Fleetwood Mac unleashed a lesser-known single entitled 'Family Man'.

Fast forward 26 years and a social media network later, Flight Facilities are celebrating their 100,000th Facebook follower by setting free their remix of the track.

The band originally completed the remix for inclusion in Triple J's decade mixes, but it went unused and unloved... until now.

Thank you. Very nice. I wish they had incorporated some of the 12". I love the echoed Stevie bit in the album track but it would have been neat if they had somehow worked the clearer part in there somewhere. But it's very cool. Thanks for sharing.

In some ways, Tango was the true follow-up to Rumours, despite the 80s production sheen. It had more hits than Mirage or Tusk, and had Lindsey doing new things again. I always look at his Tango arrangements, inferior lyrics notwithstanding, as the jump-off point for what was to follow. Cradle built on Tango, and everything else since has built on Cradle.

I know Family Man doesn't get a lot of love, but I still love that song. The flamenco-inspired solos are tremendous.

Thanks for sharing the link, Chris_Sydney. Somehow I missed this when it was originally posted, but stumbled on it today. This was a really fun mix -- I enjoyed it a lot. And I love seeing 'Tango' tracks getting some love from younger artists & DJs.

(Yo, Warner Bros... you can release a remastered & expanded 'Tango' anytime now, you know. :mad: )
