Mick + Austin Car
http://editorial.autos.msn.com/rocki...d=autos_4032#6
Rockin' garages: Music's best car collections Mick Fleetwood Fleetwood Mac was so successful in the late-'70s that band founder Mick Fleetwood stored his cute Austin 7 with Eric Clapton when he went to America (Eric is his former brother-in-law), and promptly forgot about the tiny 7-horsepower tourer for 16 years. Restored now, it transports Fleetwood and his elderly mum around Maui. He also fondly recalls his Ferrari 275 GTB. "It's spectacular, masculine, powerful, and I just thought the look of the car was extraordinary." Fleetwood says "the car gene exists in musicians and that's why we're susceptible." Fleetwood's a car guy, all right, with a stealth Porsche Turbo that he runs on Maui's back roads at night. |
I guess since the divorce, Mick has had to go around finding old things and reusing them.
He and Biddy will be having a garage sale any day now. Michele |

I'm such a car fan, that little Austin is adorable. Hard to imagine huge Mick driving such tiny little cars as that Austin & a turbo Porsche 911. I never pictured Mick being a car guy at all for whatever reason.

The Top Gear episode he did was good fun- he spoke of seeing the Austin parked in a street and leaving a 'ring me if you ever want to sell' note on it and then ages later receiving a call.
I think he said his children named it Lettuce Leaf due to the green colour, and he told of the excitement of collecting it from the shipping dock in Hawaii. |

Mick strikes me as such a connoisseur. So his interest in fashion and wine would extending to classic cars does not surprise me. Still, I don't see him caring about the latest Tesla, though. Michele |
How cute that car looks.I cant picture Mick folding himself up and getting inside a Mini Cooper.
