About her dog??

In Ken's book I read something I never heard before, about You make lovin fun :

Christine had told everyone that the song was about her dog, instead of about Curry, to avoid flare-ups.

But one day John found out the song was about Curry Grant and not her dog, and he didn't arrive early at the studio that day. Ken wrote that he also didnīt know it was about Curry. Well after listening thousand of times that song, I would never imagine, and I would never believe that it was about a dog. Come on!! Couldn't she invent a more believable story? Like a boyfriend from teenage days? Who tells a Pomeranian about ways of magic and making love? Worst of all.. who could believe her??

another dog owner, i will never understand why lyrics need to be dissected and debated make it meaningful to fit someones idea , life , or situation , just enjoy them and people still don't believe Rod Stewart wrote "Your in my Heart"for his soccer team or Eric Clapiton you look wonderful tonight is about how annoyed he was waiting for his wife to get ready ...and let's not forget one of the most popular wedding songs Every Breath you take is about stalking an EX ...

Well, in 1988 she said:"Some songs are about me, some songs are about other people in whose shoes I walked a little while and some songs are complete fabrications". Maybe she was put on the spot by John and the first thing that came to mind was to make something up so she said:"It's about Henry" (or whatever the dog's name was). And since he knew her so well and knew she'd make stuff up (song wise), he believed her. I haven't read Ken's book but did he believe it? Maybe they all did
