the setlist.

What are you're feelings about the setlist??
I was hoping for songs like: Seven Wonders - Hold Me - oh Diane.
Knowing they would change the set...... i was hoping for these songs......
Stil i think it is a good setlist. and you??

I like the setlist. My only problem with it is Stand Back. I don't think that should be in this setlist. She has too many other songs people want to hear. She tours a lot and this song is always sung. Much rather hear something more obscure such as That's Alright or Seven Wonders or even Destiny Rules.

I like the set list. I would also have loved to hear Seven Wonders in the set but glad no Hold Me. It's good to limit the Christine McVie songs to World Turning and Don't Stop. I love Hold Me as a Buckingham / McVie duet. I didn't think Say You Love Me was a a good idea for Buckingham Nicks to do on the last tour. There is no need to pull Christine's songs out.

Agree about dropping Stand Back from this tour.

The problem with Stand Back is because of it being performed with the Mac since the late 80's, it's almost as much a staple of the Mac as it is of Stevie's solo material. For casual concert-goers who wouldn't know the different (especially since Stevie solo also performs Mac hits in her sets) people could honestly believe it to be a Mac hit if they didn't know any better. Because of that fact alone, I'm fine with it.

I think this setlist is the most diverse setlist we've had since the days of The Dance. I was almost certain they would never do Sisters again, and I really didn't think a Say You Will song would pop up so with those two factors, plus factoring in there being new material, kudos to the Mac for this years set.

If they'd delete Stand Back and Don't Stop and replace them with Seven Wonders and Thrown Down or Destiny Rules, I'd be very happy.

Otherwise, I think the setlist is fine.

BLY 04-07-2013 05:03 PM

Don't Stop will NEVER be dropped due to Lindseys vocal on the lead.

seanthompson 04-07-2013 05:34 PM

Drop the songs Stevie sings in her solo act including Gold Dust Woman, Dreams, Rhiannon, and Landslide. Love these, of course, but want obscure / new music!!!

i'd love it if they would bring back DR. but i don't see that happening - just look at the setlist: DR is Stevie's song, and apart from swapping only 1 song - Storms with SOTM (good swap and i'm sure SOTM will get better as the tour goes on ), she did all exact same songs as on the UL. they just added Without You.

for Lindsey-lead songs, they swapped 3 songs - he dropped Go Insane, Oh Well, and I Know I'm Not Wrong, and replaced it with Not That Funny, Eyes of the World and Say Goodbye. and added Sad Angel (good addition!!).

considering that Eyes and SG were done on SYW tour, however much i LOVE Eyes and NTF (the latter especially on this tour so far!), i'd rather hear some real deep cuts that they haven't done for ages or ever (WATL and WMYTYTO come to mind :p ).

and they could have easily added 2 more songs (but i guess 23 is better than 22!).

Don't Stop is a staple. it's not going anywhere. the whole stadium is on their feet, singing and dancing for that one.

Much to my kids' dismay, we watched 4 DVDs wortho f FM concerts today in preparation for tomorrow at MSG. What I wouldn't give for Stevie to drop Stand Back for Seven Wonders...Dare to dream!

these 4 will not leave (however much Dreams and Rhiannon don't do anything for me ). but Gold Dust Woman is a great song, although it should be way shorter (cut last 3 mins or so!) and tighter.

however Gypsy and Sara could have been easily replaced... come on, they even do the same SnL move towards the end of the Sara as during UL! (although i have to admit, Sara was not as unbearable on this tour so far as the studio version is for me... maybe b/c LB was throwing dagger-looks in my direction (as if saying, do you really have to act bored??) as i was turning around, taking pictures of the audience, doing all kinds of stuff but following the song... :p

SB is a cacophonous off-key bellowed mess live and should be retired for good.

Jondalar 04-07-2013 07:31 PM

This is their last tour. Drop Stand-Back, how about adding Frozen Love.

sleepless child 04-07-2013 07:49 PM

I agree about Stand Back. I can see Don't Stop being on the setlist. It's their tribute to Chris and the song they sung on National TV for President Clinton. That means alot to them. It's such a feel good song too. But they definately could put something else in their besides a Stevie solo song. Is anything from Say you will on the set list?

lol Sorry but this made me laugh out loud. As much as a 'businessman' Mr. Mick Fleetwood is, I highly doubt any member of Fleetwood Mac (excluding Christine) would miss out on the easy pay that would be a thus billed "Fleetwood Mac Farewell Tour" lol There'd be live dvd's, major tv promotion, album tie-in's, ect ect. This is in no way their last tour unless, God forbid, something terrible happens to one of them.
