Rose Garden on iTunes

Is it just me or is the version of Rose Garden on iTunes different than on Street Angel. I haven't listened to them side by side but the version on my copy of Street Angel sounds just like the one on Enchanted but when I checked on iTunes it sounds very different. Can anyone clear this up for me? Thanks.

The version of Rose Garden on Enchanted is a remixed version from what is on Street Angel, same with the other tracks from SA.

Thank you, skuncles. I actually knew that but on iTunes the one that is on Street Angel sounds different than what is on my CD of Street Angel. I was just wondering if anyone else noticed that, or if I'm just nuts. LOL.

Chris Lord-Alge credits for Enchanted 3-disc set

On his web site, he lists his credits as Mastering, Engineering, Mixing, Producer and Remixing for the "Enchanted" 3-disc set.

He remixed or remastered all of the songs so they'd sound current with each other and play at equivalent sound levels. There was some remixing there as well. I find the biggest differences from the originals on "Rooms on Fire" and "Rose Garden." The songs are essentially the same structurally, but some of the effects on the originals have been stripped out. And the levels on some of the instrument tracks are different.

He's Stevie's favorite sound guy. He did the sound mixes on "In Your Dreams," "Trouble in Shangri-La," "Crystal Visions: The Very Best of Stevie Nicks," and "Timespace: The Best of Stevie Nicks."

I think Stevie mentions him in the Destiny Rules doc when they're talking about who will do the mixdown. He is amazing. Listen to his mix of Sleeping Angel compared to the original, the difference is stunning. I've never compared Rooms on Fire with the original. I'll have to try that. I'll have to actually dig out my copy of Street Angel. I'm wondering if I've only ever been listening to the Enchanted version of Rose Garden all this time because that's the only one I knew. Now that I've heard the Street Angel mix I actually prefer what Chris did with it. It's simpler but has more of an emotional punch. I think it's the organ, which is very faint in the album mix.
