Fleetwood Mac at 21
I did a search and did not see this one talked much about.
:) |
man they really have been saying the same stuff over and over and over for decades. I blame the interviewers, who tread the same ground over and over and over...... ask the same questions, get the same answers.
|
If I hear the term "musical soap opera" one more time....
"Lindsey is a thing of my past." |
Thanks so much for posting this:thumbsup:
I became a fan in my teens after they released Tango and I was so excited when the BBC showed this. I video taped it but watched it so much that the tape snapped:distress: It put me on a bit of a downer though when I heard Lindsey had left, and at that point didn't look like he'd return. Great memories seeing it again! |
I don't ever remember ever seeing this. Thanks for posting. Now I want to dig up my VHS of the Tango tour.
|
I feel like they really stepped up the cheese factor with Billy Burnette... Strange to see Stevie talk about Lindsey at that time.

I recorded this on VHS at the time and i've transferred it to DVD on the same disk as the BBC Rock Family Tree's episode from 1997.
This Fleetwood Mac at 21 episode is great but ignores the Bob Welch era and also seems to have Mick giving a rather half hearted response to where all the money went (i.e his bankruptcy.) Whatever, he seems in a happier place now than what he was in 1988. But still a fascinating documentary. Scary to think its 25 years old though and only a decade after Rumours. |

Tango was massive and I think it was mentioned the most after Rumours, but I got the impression things were still quite raw after Lindsey had left (Stevie's comments about him being in her past were quite blunt;)). There were still quite a few people who weren't even aware that he'd left the band until that was shown. |
