I love to read, so I'm curious as to what ya'll are reading or what you like to read.

I'm currently reading Bram Stroker's Dracula.

I'm working my way through Ken Caillat's Making of Rumours, and also James Joyce' The Portrait of an Artist as a Young Man.

I've been reading Anne Rice's Violin for months. It's a great book, but I rarely have time to read unless I'm taking the bus to work. I haven't been on the bus in a couple months....so I'm a little stuck.

Next on my list is this one. I'll be buying a house and moving soon, and chickens are tops on my list.

Helping out here at the library has it advantages because when it comes time to order new books the librarian gets a few that I like.

Edit: Add it the behemoth sized "World War II - A Complete Photographic History" edited by Hal Buell (This thing is going to cause me a hernia to lug around)

^How are you finding Life of Pi Becca? Would you recommend it?

I'm currently reading 'Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking' by Susan Cain. It's very interesting, particularly as I consider myself to be an introvert who could quite happily lock myself away for days at a time.

I've been meaning to read The Great Gatsby. I've seen the movie and want to read the book.

As for the teenagers reading, where I live, my friends only read if they have to. They never read for fun. They say that reading is very boring.

Gods and Generals by Jeff Shaara. (My boss is on a war-history book kick.)

I own both the book and movie. I'm a huge Civil War buff.

Pride and Prejudice (I wasn't expecting to love this book, but it got me)
The In Between
Tess of the d'Urbervilles

Last year I did a blitz of F. Scott Fitzgerald books (he only had 5.5 so not a huge task). Gatsby is pretty short so if you have time, you could check out Tender is the Night as well, it's flawed but still really very good.

It's something of a slow burner, I haven't touched it for a couple of days and don't feel that desire to read it like I did with The Kite Runner etc.
But I shall persevere! I'm using it as my further reading for A Level.

Gatsby is a book that I am finding rather annoying for some reason, it feels like its taking forever, granted we are reading it as a class, making it a bit difficult to speed through anything.
But the opulence is rather enticing.

I read The Kite Runner last year. I thought it was wonderful. I couldn't put it down and for days after it played on my mind. I love when a book gets to you like that. I haven't had that type of reading experience for awhile.

Me neither, it's such a strong novel, I really loved reading it.
But having to writ about 'How Hosseini tells the story in Chapter 2' is really taking the shine off.
