Very Best Of Fleetwood Mac - Remastered

Forgive me if this was previously posted, but I just noticed tonight on Itunes that a completely remastered version of the "Very Best of..." album, is being released on Tuesday as well as Rumours.
REALLY milking it, huh? But half of us or more will probably still buy it!

No amount of remastering is going to make "No Questions Asked" sound any better.

OUCH!!! tell us how you REALLY feel.

Wow. It's worth it to remaster that, but not Mirage. Ok. Great.

it's ridiculous that they're remastering this, but Mirage lays in a pile of dust. Someone's head needs to roll!

This is the first time that 'VBoFM' has been made available on iTunes -- and, I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure this isn't a new remaster.
The tracks were remastered when the set was originally released on CD in 2002, and I believe that's the distinction being made on iTunes.

^I was on Amazon and only MP3s are coming out on January 29, 2013, so it seems you're correct.

Ah...you may be right. I didn't know VBO was never available on Itunes before.

Sorry, I read "remastering" on Steve's post(and I was reading the thread on my phone)....The Ledge format isn't very android friendly, at least for my blind ass! lol:sorry:

I'm still not too happy about it. It's MP3 versions of the remastered Very Best of LP according to Amazon. Mirage doesn't have a remastered LP and it needs it more than most FM products do, due to the sound quality. And it's next in line to be remastered. I think the VBO remastering was done a few years after the original release.

WB has very little interest in this band after the seventies ended.

I so agree with you on that! I don't quite know what Warner Music Group's problem is with these albums. Live, Mirage, Tango In The Night and Behind The Mask have all been seriously neglected over the years, but on the other hand Rumours get two re-releases... the 2004 remastered & expanded edition and this new 2013 edition. All wrong.

Well, it never hurts to say that sales of this item could hold sway over the possibility of the 80's album remasters coming to fruition.

A remaster of Live! would be, simply, dreamy. I would hope for a vinyl remaster re-release as well.
