IF stevie won an oscar for the documentary...

i think lindsay would throw himself under a bus..lol i'm sure an oscar trumps a grammy.

I think Stevie getting an Oscar is a pretty long shot.

I'm just wondering if she would wear sunglasses down the red carpet:shrug:

Probably yes.

Her sunglasses are prescription, so I guess she just figures better the cool rocker shades than granny glasses.

I don't think Stevie and Dave know. I got the sense that they don't have a distributor.

I hope She will get noticed. As I watch the docu last night. There was alot of work put into it.I can see Dave and his crew could get a nod from them for technical work in a documentary category. I can see now why it took so long for the editing with four editors and all of them got to be on the same page while doing the editing process and keep the continuity going without getting mixed up or not make since. The sound mix was great with a good stereo balance.

Keep our fingers crossed.

Very long shot. But even a nomination would be cool. The hopes are the film gets a lot of exposure and puts "In Your Dreams" back on the charts at least. An Oscar nomination could really make a CD sales difference, and a win could give the CD the exposure it finally deserves, but that is only a dream. Stranger things have happend!;)

It could also prompt her to begin serious efforts towards the Rhiannon movie which would have full recordings of " Three Birds of Rhiannon", "Forrest of The Dark Roses" and "China Doll"

This thread made me look up this comment from her in 2003:
Quote:

In a dream I had when I was 14 or 15, I saw myself winning an Academy Award. I never figured out what for, but it would never be for acting. I'm not a good actress, and I'd never let people say, 'Oh, that Stevie, a songstress, writer extraordinaire and the worst actress we've ever seen!' I'll stick to writing.

BombaySapphire3 10-16-2012 07:36 PM

Hats off to Stevie for knowing her limitations. As bad as an actress as she may be I have a difficult time imagining her stealing the worst actress ever seen mantle from Madonna though.

I got an email from Liz Rosenberg and she said "We’re still working out the details… "
