Need advice from experienced Florida Ledgies

Stevie has recently added dates in Ft Lauderdale and St. Augustine. Now I have a friend who recently moved to Miami. I realize neither of these cities are near Miami. But are either of them reasonably close to an airport where it'd be easy to fly to one city for the show, then fly out (hopefully cheap because of the distance) to Miami the next day.

There's maybe a 20 percent chance of this actually happening, but I'd love to know if its feasable. It'd be great to have the perfect excuse to both travel to Florida and see Stevie in an intimate setting in one shot.

I think you mean St. Petersburg and St. Augustine. Anyways, Miami and further North Fort Lauderdale both have airports. You could check online for direct flights to Tampa or Bradenton/Sarasota for the St. Pete show or fly into Jacksonville or Daytona Beach for the St. Augustine event. Other options would be amtrak(east coast) or Greyhound if you don't feel like driving. The Mahaffey is a much smaller venue than the amplitheater in St. Augustine.
Good luck with your decision.

Thank you so much. that helps a lot. So it looks like it'll be the St. Pete show for sure if anything.

You are welcome! Hope you make it to The Mahaffey! It's a nice place! :wavey:

There is also a small airport in Clearwater/St. Pete that you might check out. Not sure if there are flights into it from Miami or not. Other than that, the Tampa International Airport is your best chance. I live in Tampa. The venue is right on the waterfront in downtown St. Pete. Is a really nice place...seats a little over 2000 people.

I would recommend the Fort Lauderdale airport whenever possible. It's much smaller and easier than Miami.

Looks like you can fly into St. Pete/ Clearwater which is another small airport and that would leave you about 20 minutes from where you need to be.

Not sure but last I knew, St Pete/ Clearwater airport had very limited flights. They had one that flew into the Keys but that's another 100 mile drive to Miami. Why were you thinking of Ft. Lauderdale? Was that a mistake or does Stevie have something scheduled?

Now that she has added the Estero, Florida show you could drive from Miami across Alligator Alley(75)..

Just fly into Tampa Intl and make it easy on yourself, it's only a 20 minute drive to St. Pete. The St. Pete/Clearwater airport is small with tiny, scary planes and like another person said, they don't have many flights-- and did I mention scary planes? :p

Tampa International is a real airport. Try to get a direct flight if you can!
