Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham will both be in Orlando within a week of each other — but not singing together.

There's something wrong about that.

Nicks, of course, will be twirling into the Amway Center with Rod Stewart on Aug. 3, but I must say the prospect of a duet involving such idiosyncratic vocalists fills me with trepidation. Some combinations of voices just aren't meant to fit together. I like Leon Redbone and Bob Dylan, but not at the same time.

Buckingham, who teamed with Nicks to provide such chemistry in Fleetwood Mac, is booked for a solo show Aug. 7 at the intimate Plaza Live. It'll be a treat to watch his intricate guitar work at such close range, but somehow it still seems like the cosmic wires were crossed along the way.
