I was there!!! Second time seeing her solo, and have seen FM three times starting in 2003. She was on FIRE tonight. Few bites: SA was intense, I felt the fire from her, and gave quite an emotional speech before and after the song. At one point the piece of her mic stand that held the mic on broke, and she goes " can someone fix this for me?" and her main rodeo came out and she goes" what is your name? Where are you from?" in a really silly mock witch voice. Then she mouth to everyone "I didn't break it, I swear!" Hilarious!
She made a funny comment on how Annabel Lee's tuberculosis wasn't all bad cause it allowed her (Stevie) to spend lots of time with him. She held some incredibly long high notes and was pretty ferocious in some songs. Have to say that was the BEST Rhiannon out of the five I've ever witnessed. Kid Rock was at the show and received the Pandslide dedication, and FWIW was dedicated to Vanessa Carlton, who did things for Stevie that she can never thank for enough or repay. Edge - security was irritating about aisles all night, but we all decided to bombard the stage the moment Ghosts Are Gone ended. I had third row dead center so it was easy. Shook her hand once when she was to the left of me, and when she was right above me I didn't want to be a brat and reach again, so I screamed "I love you so much!" she made the sweetest face and reached her hand RIGHT to me!" I will never forget that! L'L was great, and Love Is was mesmerizing. Grea set list ( shell do Rooms on Fire and Ghosts next time, I promise) she was super giggly, and was just beaming all night. Felt the magic very strong, and I'm still feeling it. Crappy iPhone pics and vids to come. Fifth time seeing her, and the best by far. Cannot WAIT to see her again. So proud to be a fan of Stevie :)

^Thanks for the details. I'm from Michigan and always imagine that I could/should have been at shows in the Detroit area.

I wonder what Vanessa Carlton has done for her. I know she's probably been a sounding board many times -- and vice versa, I'm sure.

She played piano at Christmas to entertain the Nicks clan.

Stevie probably sang Silent Night as Vanessa played.

Nope, she told Stevie she was Jewish and didn't know any Christmas carols. If it wasn't Vanessa then it was Michelle Branch. I always confuse the 2 of them.

Oh ok .Yes I like Michelle Branch music to.It has a country feel to it.Both girls are around the same age and have the same long dark hair.I can see its confusing between the two.

I'm suppised Stevie has not call in Michelle Branch to open for her.

Vanessa let Stevie work as a cleaning woman in her home during a particularly rough time in Stevie's life. The two of them really bonded.

For some reason, that didn't help cement the relationship with Keith. Indeed, just the opposite.
