Why do they look so upset?
 

I found this Beach Boys video very funny. I love the song but the BB look so bored, upset. They wouldn't apply for (80s) MTV :laugh:
Just in the second half you can see quick smiles.

They were just kids in this early TV black & white broadcast, and they weren't comfortable with the lip synching they had to do. They NEVER do that in concert, and are missing their instruments and microphones. It had to feel very awkward for them. (not to mention an abusive father watching them)

I don't blame them for being upset.I'll be upset if I was in front of camera lipsyncing my tunes.

I can picture Stevie's face doing EO17 without Waddy plucking da da da da da da on his guitar.
