I don't think light eyes are the problem. I think it's mostly darker eyes that get the red eye effect (well, from what I've seen). I have pretty light blue/green eyes and I don't think I've ever seen a picture of me with red eye. My nieces have dark brown and I have to color correct all the time.

But, those pictures are fun. I want more details on the meet and greet!
(I'm avoiding watching any video...except for Stephanie [how could I wait for that] since my concerts are coming up next week).
