Scam to Disrupt the Internet
 

This info was in my local paper today. Your computer may be infected by hackers in an online advertising scam & may lose their ability to connect to the Internet on July 9. Go to this website to see if you computer is infected:

Then it gives you another link to click on to see if you're infected. If it's green, you're OK, & it says it looks like your computer appears to be looking up IP addresses correctly. It is red, then you're infected, & it gives you websites that can get rid of the virus.

Mine was green; I'm OK & I'm so glad because I've had enough of viruses this year already. I'm going to check my work computer tomorrow.

I didn't get it from the National Inquirer. I got it from a legit local newspaper. And it said "Here's how the FBI says you can check your computer". If you can't trust the FBI, well, alrighty then. :shrug:

Last week I got infected with the Zero-access rootkit.I used Combofix,Malwarebytes and superantispyware to kill the Rootkit.

Beware of those cloud drive sites like Depostfiles.They tend to get infected with viruses.
Some Blogs with links.Forums with links. Foreign free movie,Music sites.

Use download software like Jdownloader to download from those sites ..Just copy the link from those blogs or forums drop it into Jdownloader and Jdownloader will do all the work for you without going onto the website itself.


Also watch you email account.Make sure it does not get hacked like mine did months ago.I had to change my password with my ISP.

Dont open email which you don't know who it came from.Watchout with with no subject listed.Plus the phony dates when the email arrived in your email box.I had one from 1938
the other day.

I stopped using formspring because it's infected.

I had a problem with Face Book.I suspend my account with them.
