Cameron Monaghan. Redheads are looking mighty fine on TV lately  I try not to swoon too much over someone 20, but sometimes you have to say Dang! to cuteness :)

i like it a lot ! i love Joan Cusack and I love that they are not following the British series word for word and they have changed the story lines a bit

Like it but I prefer the British series.

I've never even seen it but ugh. I have a lot of feelings and I'm just going to keep them to myself. Everyone else has voiced them on the internet before. Mainly based on the fact that there are people in the UK who do live like the characters in Shameless.

The first 5 series of the UK version were great. And then the one last year with Libby but it waxes and wanes so if the US version has the same storylines as the UK version, then prepare yourselves for a few series worth of dissapointment.

I tried to watch the U.S. version and was not impressed. The characters are dreadful and I couldn't sympathize with that loser dad. And I love William H. Macy!

Unfortunate I know far too many "character" from the British series. Pretty depressing, really. Is it too much to ask for British life to be like the stereotypical Sherlock Holmes era characters, lol? :p

What - visiting opium dens and disease riddled brothels, and dodging Jack the Ripper in foggy back streets lol? ;)

I know lots of people like that, too. But I wouldn't say it was unfortunate. Some of them are the people I want most in my life. It's all relative. I don't mean your fraudulent, perpetually drunk Frank Gallagher's but I know plenty of Debbie Gallaghers and I don't like to think I'm better than them, because I'm not :)

If we were living then, these people would be there, just called nasty names like "urchins" and "W****s".

Never watched the British series but love this one. I only started watching it while my other favorite shows are on hiatus. I admit it's hard imagining some who truly live like this and don't seem to know what shampoo and a nice bath will do for ya, but I'm thinking that's how they want some of the characters portrayed. Still, I find a sort of sexiness in some of the men like Jeremy Allen White and Justin Chatwin at times.

it's entertainment, I try not to read to much in to it.

There are many estates in the UK where some people do live like the characters in the UK version. Not all of them, but many of them. Sometimes, it almost feels like watching a documentary rather than a drama. It's more realistic than the soaps are nowadays. I've no idea if this is the case in the US though?

Is the Showtime version focused on just the Gallaghers or do you see the neighbours?

I was surprised you see " a lot" especially from the male characters on the show. I was hooked after seeing Zach McGowan standing at the fridge full frontal  ;) because it threw you off guard. I don't know how the British version and characters are written, but I love the U.S. Showtime series.

Yeah he and Felicity have attended the Sarasota Film Festival a few times over the years. They say you can spot the stars out on the town afterwards at night while it's going on, the local eats and niteclubs and lounges, but I've yet to go about the town while the event is going on.
